Charitable Bequest

Whether you think of yourself as rich or poor, your gift makes a difference to Denver Botanic Gardens. Once the needs of your family have been considered we hope you will consider including the Gardens in your estate plans.

It's simple

A charitable bequest may be added or modified by a codicil so you don’t have to draw a new will. An attorney can assist you with the wording so that your specific wishes are met.

Guidelines and suggested language

Full legal name: Denver Botanic Gardens
Taxpayer identification number: 84-0440359

When including the Gardens in your will, we would like to suggest the following language:

"I give, devise and bequeath to Denver Botanic Gardens, a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, having as its principal address 909 York Street, Denver, Colorado, 80206, (percentage or specific dollar amount) for the Garden’s general (or restricted) purpose."

Your legacy, our future

Even a small amount can have a big impact over time. It was through a bequest that a summer internship program for the Education Department was established in 1995.

Your generous contribution will be used to help ensure stability for future generations.
