Green wall - Picture by Jason Sampson

The "Green Roof" or eco roof concept has become a billion dollar industry in Europe, where storm water abatement and water quality are top drawer concerns. With the catastrophic flooding of last September fresh in our minds, we in Colorado should rachet up our concern. We are lucky to have a horticulturist coming to Denver Botanic Gardens to speak who has had extensive experience with eco-gardening at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
